Gus Michael

Guitars/Vocals

Gus's entertainment career began with acting at a very young age. Taking on any acting role given to him, he soon became very popular at the schools he attended, being cast in almost every school play done by any class. At one point, he was even interviewed by a local paper for a performance. That all changed when he heard his first Led Zeppelin tune, making Jimmy Page a major influence in his soon to be musical endeavor. He started guitar lessons at age fourteen and six months later, he landed in his first band. From that point, he started meeting other musicians and played with a slew of different bands until he got together with some friends and created 607, a cover band doing classic rock tunes from Cream, the Beatles, and of course, Led Zeppelin. 607 went on as a working band for nearly ten years until they decided to go their separate ways.

At that point, Gus stored his gear and decided to give the business world a try. One day he got a call from singer/songwriter Christine Ladikos telling him she had a new project in the works and wanted him to be a part of it. Fourteen years had passed. He was unrehearsed but intrigued none the less. He gave it a try and the fire was lit once again. He began recording tracks with Christine and by the time the new CD was mixed and mastered, the fire became a raging inferno. This inspired Gus to dust off his gear and begin the journey to create another band. He eventually hooked up with lifelong friend and fellow guitarist, Harry Mallios and together they built the 90's cover band Pipe. With Carmine Gonzalez, Craig Cantos, and newcomer Frank Torchiano completing the ensemble, Pipe aspires to be quite the up and coming cover band of our time.
